The hotel is situated in the northwestern state of Sinaloa in Mexico. It is near the Plaza of Arms, Orrantia Mansion, Mansion Almada, the House of Constituency, House of Portals, the Casa de la Cultura, Don Mansion Orrantia Francisco and the Mansion Don Joaquin Ibarra, which is now a hotel. This hotel is best known to tourists around the world as 'The Gateway to the Copper Canyon', one of the main attractions of the Sierra Tarahumara. Copper Canyon is considered the longest and deepest canyon in the district.||The historical hotel was built in the mid-seventeenth century (1650-1700).
