Common description

The hotel is located in the historic centre of the colonial city of Merida, between 57th Street and 55th Street, just two blocks from the main square Plaza which houses the cathedral, the Government Palace, the City Hall, theatres, universities, restaurants and various activities.||This historical hotel, renovated in 2012 and offering 30 rooms, was originally a French-style private residence built in the late nineteenth century and inhabited by one of the most prominent families in Yucatan during the height of the sisal industry. Amenities include a 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, a restaurant, smoking rooms, air conditioning, a designated smoking area, terrace/solarium, parking and free wireless Internet access.||The hotel offers three different room types. Colonial Rooms, those that were part of the original house, have carved wooden doors, high ceilings and original wood chiaroscuro. These rooms feature a king-size bed or two double beds. Classic Rooms are built in a newly built part of the premises. The Standard Rooms average 30 m² and have two or three beds for travellers who travel primarily as a family or in groups. Traditional Rooms are 20 m² on average and have one or two beds, ideal for single travellers or couples. All rooms are en suite and feature a shower, a direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, Internet access and individually regulated air conditioning.||A continental breakfast is served each morning.
