The lodge is situated in a private concession within the Kruger National Park.||Named after Colonel Stephenson Hamilton, who was instrumental in establishing the world famous Kruger National Park, this tented camp reflects a safari adventure of the early twentieth century, where grace and style were the epitome of luxurious living.||Six magnificent canvas tents complete with teak floorboards, dreamy mosquito nets, slipper baths, outdoor showers and a superb view of the seasonal river are linked to the main lodge area by raised timber walkways amongst ancient Jackalberry trees.orning and afternoon safaris in 4x4 vehicles as well as African spa treatments in the privacy of your room.||Silver service dining is provided for all guests, with a splendid view of the river. Private dining can be arranged on request.||By air: daily flights into Hoedspruit and Kruger Mpumalanga International airports, lodge can arrange transfers at an additional charge. By road: after departing from Johannesburg International Airport, take the R21 highway towards Pretoria (North). Before Pretoria, take the N4 highway East. Turn off at Belfast, take the R540 towards Dullstroom (approximately 37 km). At Dullstroom, take the R540 towards Lydenburg (approximately 43 km). At Lydenburg, take the R36 towards Ohrigstad (approximately 62 km). At Ohrigstad, take the R527 towards Hoedspruit (Note: You will pass through the JG Strijdom Tunnel). 16 km before Hoedspruit at the Reptile Centre, turn right onto the R531 towards Klaserie. After approximately 30 km, turn left onto the Orpen Gate Road (R531). After 40 km guests will reach the Orpen Gate of the Kruger National Park.
