This historic inn has been under the ownership of the same family for 6 generations. Yasunari Kawabata, a Nobel laureate, considered this inn as his home away from home. Each room is uniquely designed with its own special motif. All rooms are traditional Japanese style, with tatami mats, papered shoji window, and sliding fusuma doors.
