The 27 mile long fresh water Loch Awe, on which the hotel is placed, provides the definitive location for a wealth of fishing and sailing options – and there is no need to pay for expensive fishing permits, as guests of the hotel may fish for free. A choice of Golf courses can also be found nearby and despite the secluded nature of the hotel, Glasgow can be reached in around 90 minutes and the route to Oban, the “gateway to the Isles”, taking a little over an hour by car.
