Beitbridge Express Hotel

Common description

The Limpopo River is the natural boundary between Zimbabwe and its southern neighbour, South Africa. The town of Beitbridge is the border post between the two countries. It is Zimbabwe's busiest gateway with a regular and large flow of goods and people making the crossing between the two countries each day. Almost equidistant between Harare and Johannesburg, African Sun saw the need for a convenient and moderately priced stopover and opened the hotel in the border town in 1998.||The services and facilities at the hotel are very basic in the sense that the hotel has an express concept meaning that the service is the basic accommodation experience with no frills or extras. The services and facilities on offer include a restaurant, bar, complementary on-site parking, a business centre and full conference and banqueting facilities. Same-day laundry service and indoor games are available at the reception. Since this is an express hotel offering limited service, all 104 rooms are the same.||All rooms feature two double beds, an en suite bathroom with shower, a single toilet, a shaver socket outlet and individually controlled air conditioning. A hairdryer, smoke detectors and sprinkler system, self locking security doors, a telephone and satellite television also feature. Coffee and tea making facilities, a work desk and lamp and an automatic wake-up call facility additionally come as standard. An ice machine is available on all floors.||Guests may take a refreshing dip in the outdoor swimming pool.||The restaurant offers a buffet breakfast. The other meals depend on the occupancy of the hotel so when there is high occupancy, it will serve buffet lunch and dinner and when it is low, there will be an à la carte menu.
