Common description

At a distance of 1 nautical mile, there is the island of Proti, where there are the ruins of the Mycenaean acropolis. Nearby is Lagoubardos beach, which is ideal for water-sports. Not far there is Romanos and its famous beach. Close is Boidokoilia beach and the ruins of Nestoras' Palace, as well as the ancient burials Traganas. Also close is the Natura wetland in the lagoon of Gialoba, which is the biggest wetland in the Balkans.
