Fort Printers

Boutique Hotel

Common description

Galle Fort is a warm and breezy place, some streets bustling in the morning, but the afternoons and evenings are quiet and serene. The Fort is now a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are numerous restaurants, bars and shops in Galle Fort. Links to the public transport network are about a 10-minute walk away.||This 5-suite boutique hotel was first a college and then a print shop, hence the name of the hotel and its suites - History, Geography, Arts, the Headmaster's, and the Prefect's which are all different in layout and design, but all spectacularly well-designed. This historical hotel was fully renovated in 2009 and welcomes guests in the lobby where 24-hour check-out service is also available. Facilities include air conditioning, a hotel safe, currency exchange, hairdressing salon, TV lounge, conference facilities, wired and wireless Internet access, room and laundry services, as well as a car park and bicycle hire. Guests can wine and dine in the café, bar or restaurant.||The hotel is comprised of suites in a villa. The suites are air-conditioned and elegantly furnished with a mixture of classic and contemporary handmade furniture and accessories. All are en suite with a shower and hairdryer. Double or king-size beds are available. Further in-room amenities include a direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, hifi, Internet access, a safe, ironing set and a terrace. All also come with a kitchen with a fridge, cooker, microwave, and tea and coffee making facilities.||Guests are invited to take a dip in the swimming pool and there is also a children's swimming area and a poolside snack bar. Sun loungers are laid out on the sun terrace and on the nearby beach. Guests can also enjoy a massage, or go diving, surfing, windsurfing, sailing, catamaran boating or biking. There are also entertainment programmes for adults and children.
