The InterContinental Resort Berchtesgaden is a 5-star hotel located high up in the Bavarian Alps on the eastern outskirts of Berchtesgaden, 30 km from Salzburg. Accommodations feature views of the courtyard or the Alps and are equipped with satellite TV, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities, work desk, wired/WiFi internet access and a private bathroom with amenities. The hotel offers a choice of 3 restaurants, one of which has a Michelin-star rating. The restaurants serve a wide variety of Bavarian, French and international cuisine. In addition, the American-style bar offers an extensive selection of whiskeys and cognacs. Leisure facilities include an indoor heated pool, seasonal outdoor pool, 24-hr well-equipped fitness centre, sauna, steam bath and a full service spa offering a wide range of wellness therapies, beauty treatments and massages. The Lake Konigssee, Salt Mine, Royal Palace, Mozart's birthplace and the school of wood-carving are some of the attractions in the area.Please note that the InterContinental Berchtesgaden Resort will be carrying out redesign work in the restaurant area in spring 2014. This work will only affect the main restaurant 3'60 degrees, which is expected to be closed from 24 February up to and including 15 May 2014. During this period, breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served in the hotel's other facilities. All of the hotel's services will be available for guests as normal. The period from 10 March up to and including 27 March 2014 is an exception to this. During this stage, intensively noisy work will be carried out. In order to avoid inconveniencing our guests, the entire hotel will be closed during this period.
