Common description

Situated on the eastern edge of the Charnwood Forest, Rothley village is known for its two village greens and some of the finest timber-framed houses in the country. A short walk away, the picturesque Great Central Steam Railway can be found, used as a location for many major film productions. The property is the perfect place from which to explore the historic sites, magnificent gardens, numerous sporting and tourist attractions and natural beauty of the area. Loughborough bus and railway stations are just 10 km away. East Midlands Airport is approximately 26 km from the hotel, while Coventry Airport is some 53 km away, Birmingham Airport is 71 km away and London Luton Airport is about 129 km away.||This impressive, ancient, rambling manor house has its own 11th century chapel, idyllic manicured grounds, a rose walk, babbling brook and trout-filled river. The hotel comprises a total of 30 guest rooms and is non-smoking throughout. Facilities on offer include a lobby, a bar, a restaurant, Internet access and ample parking for those arriving by car.||The guest rooms each have their own individual character, ranging from luxurious feature rooms in the beautifully converted Court Mews to romantic four-poster suites in the main building. Each includes a telephone, daily housekeeping, a TV and tea and coffee making facilities. A shower, a bathtub, a double bed, a radio, Internet access and an iron and ironing board all come as standard.||The splendid oak-panelled Babington Restaurant is the perfect setting to enjoy the extensive menu and carefully selected fine wines. However, if something a little more relaxed is preferred, lighter snacks, speciality coffees and afternoon tea are served daily in the Babington Bar, with its magnificent fireplace and comfortable chesterfields, or in the summer months on the heated garden terrace.
